CCTV or Closed Circuit Television links both internal and
external cameras to dedicated TV monitors and video recording
facilities. CCTV systems can be visible or concealed, ranging
from the latest, tiny, hi-tech cameras ... to sturdy,
purpose-built units for surveillance in black and white or
colour.Using the latest Digital Video Recording technology,
there is no need for cassette tapes any more, because images can
be saved to a computer and viewed whilst they are still
recording. Recording can be either continuous, triggered by
motion detection or specific to alarm events. Remote dial in
access is an added feature and models come in single, 4 and 16
channel versions.
